General Description
The University of Montevallo seeks applicants for two part-time, non-tenure-track, 9-month faculty positions as Instructor of Instructional Leadership (IL).
The successful candidates will teach graduate courses in IL, supervise residency experiences, advise IL students, participate in curriculum and program development, serve on university, college, and department committees, participate in professional organizations, and engage in service activities in P12 settings.
Essential Job Duties

Teaching graduate classes

Supervising field experiences for IL majors

Advising IL majors

Participating in curriculum and program development efforts, as well as program recruitment initiatives

Serving on committees at the university, college, and department levels

Participating in professional organizations

Additional Duties
Education and Experience
Required Education: An earned doctorate in Instructional Leadership, Educational Administration or other closely-related discipline from an accredited institution.
Required Experience: At least three years of formal administrative experience at the P12 school or district level.
Preferred Education and Experience
1) Within the last five years, experience in Alabama school/district administration.
2) Teaching experience at the higher education level; 3) Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds; and 4) Evidence of ability to use a network of professional connections to facilitate collaboration between the university and P12 schools.

Current and valid teaching certificate in administration or closely-related field
