Description
AOA Art Instructors teach courses as needed in the Arts area (Art, Photography, Calligraphy, Antiques, Languages, and other courses created for AOA).
Classes meet 7 weeks per week ( 1.
5 - 2 hours per week ).
Workshops scheduled on weekends (length varies).
Job Duties
Preparing syllabus and all materials for classes; providing materials to be copied at least 3 days prior to start date.
Scheduling field trips as needed (all details).
Communicating with students through emails and phone calls.
Instructing students for the course/workshop.
Communicating with the supervisor prior to, during, and following the course.
Having students complete class/instructor evaluations at the last class and submitting to supervisor.
Approving time clock hours prior to payroll deadline.
Ability to stand throughout entire class.
Qualifications
Evidence of proficiency in the area of instruction (must be included on resume).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an art area, preferred.
University-level courses completed in arts, preferred.
