The 4 Year Preschool Teacher provides a safe and nurturing environment for children that encourages their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
The Teacher plans and implements a developmentally appropriate curriculum for enrolled children.
Though much of the learning centers around play, the primary purpose of the educational program is to prepare students for kindergarten.
Knowledge of the Abeka curriculum is preferred, but not required.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The 4K Teacher will be held accountable for knowing and performing the responsibilities associated with their individual position in an efficient and effective manner.
The 4K teachers will maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner so that they get along with children, families, coworkers, supervisors, and the public while achieving performance expectations.
Meet annual professional development requirements, per state regulations.
Educating children about fundamental concepts, such as colors, letters, numbers, and shapes.
Encouraging social interactions between children and improving their self-esteem.
Engaging in creative methods of learning, such as arts and crafts, supervised play, and storytelling.
Planning comprehensive curriculums to address early childhood development needs.
Instilling a sense of order and discipline in the classroom.
Monitoring free time on the playground.
Ensuring the classroom is a clean, safe, and organized environment.
Preparing for lessons by gathering materials and setting up workstations.
Communicating with parents to better understand the children's home lives and psyches.
Writing up reports for parents on each child's developmental progress.
Requirements:
Previous 1-year K4 teaching experience desired.

Ability to pass a background check.
A caring individual who enjoys teaching young children.
Reliable transportation to the Child Care center.
Great customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents.
Obtain a Tuberculosis skin test.
After a 90-day probation period, full-time employees will begin to accrue sick/personal days up to 5 days and also 9 paid holidays.
After 1 year of employment, the employee will receive 1 week of paid vacation leave.
Employees can also earn personal days for perfect attendance.
The Hours are 8 am- 5 pm Monday-Friday (1 hr lunch break).
There is also a possible option for 7 am - 5 pm (with one hour lunch) if you are wanting extra overtime hours.
9am-6 pm is also an option.
