Description In close collaboration with and under the direction of the Title IX Coordinator, to assist with the operations of the Title IX Office.
To develop, implement and coordinate educational programs.
To assist with the resolution process of reports/complaints asserting violations of the University s nondiscrimination policies, as well as corresponding Federal laws including Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), relevant provisions of the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (VAWA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).
Key Duties & Responsibilities 1.
Under the direction of the Title IX Coordinator, develops, implements, coordinates and conducts educational programs and initiatives designed to educate and support faculty, staff and students regarding Title IX policies and procedures.
Develops and provides training to faculty, staff, students, Title IX investigators, adjudicators and others involved in processing Title IX complaints.
Monitors compliance with Title IX training requirements.
Follows up with individuals to assist in bringing them into compliance.
When noncompliance with training requirements persists, follows up with individuals and applicable leadership according to appropriate escalation procedures to ensure the training requirements are met in a timely fashion.
Facilitates prevention and response training programs for individuals, faculty, staff, students and the community.
Ensures the University's Title IX related procedures, training and guidance complies with federal regulations, guidance and best practices.

Reviews complaints of discrimination, harassment and retaliation based on Title IX sexual Page 2 of 3 harassment/other sexual misconduct.
Conducts Title IX complaintant intake; conducts triage and appropriate assignment of cases.
Provides conflict resolution services including conflict coaching, mediation/conferencing facilitation and problem solving as assigned.
Prepares and coordinates official communication for outreach and resolution of complaints where appropriate.
Engages in informal resolution or referrals in coordination with appropriate departments and other applicale offices if allegations do not rise to the level of discrimination, sexual harassment or other forms of policy violation.
Communicates with parties while protecting the independence, neutrality, integrity and privacy of the investigation.

Conducts and manages prompt, impartial and thorough investigations in accordance with University policy.
Writes expert analytical fact-finding reports that demonstrate sound, balanced reasoning; clear articulation of facts and supporting evidence; and knowledge of applicable policies, rules, laws and procedures.
Maintains accurate records for each complaint resolution.
Manages initial and on-going communication and official notices to parties involved in complaint resolution process as well as campus administrators involved in the process.
Supports compliance audits and maintains accurate statistical data for monthly multi-level reports.

Assists Title IX Coordinator with Title IX complainant intake; conducts triage and appropriate assignment of cases.
Refers parties to appropriate internal and external resources.
Facilitates prevention and response training programs for individuals, faculty, staff, students and the community.
Assists in identifying systemic problems relating to complaints of sex-based discrimination and recommends responses.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Knowledge of and experience working with diverse communities Conflict resolution and mediation skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications particularly Outlook, Word and Excel Ability to act with a high level of judgment, diplomacy, and confidentiality when completing all responsibilities Ability to analyze data and/or information Annual Salary Range: $57,940 - $94,150 Qualifications Master's degree in Higher Education or related field and two (2) years of professional level experience in student conduct administration, conflict resolution or related field required.
Juris Doctorate or Master's degree in Higher Education, Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Organizational Development or closely related field and experience with Title IX, VAWA and the Clery Act in a large university setting (Division I athletics, research institution, urban setting) preferred.
Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
