The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Program Manager II.
This position is to serve as a liaison with University Departments, ancillary departments and/or satellite facilities.
To organize patient enrollment planning.
To conduct quality assurance activities.
To compile and analyze data.
To develop and implement procedures, maintain records, track progress, and conduct quality assurance on data collected.
To serve as a mentor to junior staff, including student assistants.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for administratively managing a large or complex University program or multiple programs.
Provides input in the development of program plan and objectives with responsibility for achieving objectives within defined parameters.
Typically supervises small staffs and are responsible for long range planning.
Responsibilities include budgeting, networking/public relations, technical training and assistance, grant and report writing.
May handle regulatory responsibilities, contract submissions and identify research funding.
May handle event planning and oversight of construction projectTo manage research projects conducted at UAB clinics, health departments, other participating clinics in rural and urban counties as well as the community-at-large for the Global and Rural Health division in OB/GYN.
To serve as a liaison with medical staff, University Departments, ancillary departments, health departments, other participating clinics in rural and urban counties and local, state and national partners
To participate in the development of research program objectives including a plan to achieve the established objectives.
To develop strategies to reach recruitment and retention goals in the research projects.
To coordinate and organize research participant enrollment planning, data collection, and quality assurance/adherence to the research protocols.
To conduct qualitative and quantitative interviews at diverse clinical settings and rural/urban communities
To perform qualitative data analyses for Global and Rural Women's Health.
To maintain databases and pull reports and other information when needed including basic quantitative analyses for Global and Rural Women's Health.
To prepare and submit multiple levels of research documentation (e.
g.
, IRB, study forms, grant renewal reports, etc.
) for the Global and Rural Women's Health division.
To develop Standard Operation Procedures for research projects in Global and Rural Women's Health.
To develop protocols; identify efficiencies; and improve processes under the supervision of the investigator.
Perform other duties as assigned

Research, grant, and data analysis and collection experience.
Salary Range: $51,270 - $83,300
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field
And five (5) years of related experience required.
Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
