Description Position Summary: The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Department of Family Community Medicine seeks a Program Coordinator II to coordinate and manage administrative, participant, and logistical support and operations of pre-medical education program(s).
Carries out established program objectives and directives.
Follows established guidelines, protocols, and requests.
Determines the best approach to complete task assignments in a timely manner.
Will participate in program planning and setting program goals and objectives.
Serves as a communication liaison and special events planner.
Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders including colleges, universities and other medical educational programs for recruitment and collaboration.
Responsible for adherence to program budget and/or other fiscal duties.
Manages student and program operations data.
May assist with grant and contract preparation and submission.
Summary The Program Coordinator II will oversee the operations and activities of pre-medical education program(s) working collaboratively with faculty and leadership to accomplish goals, objectives, and effective outcomes.
Candidate must be skilled in interprofessional collaboration working with clinical faculty, administrative leaders, and program trainees at various levels of educational experience.
Candidate must be a motivated, self-starter who possess the ability to project, plan and implement strategies to fulfill program goals, objectives, and outcomes Duties Responsibilities 25% Coordinates and manages the daily administrative operations and activities of pre-medical education program(s) 20% Coordinates and disseminates information related to student recruitment, program meetings, educational activities, and program operations 10% Maintain student records related to documenting onboarding requirements, participant demographics, attendance records, stipends, and longitudinal tracking.
10% Serves as first point-of-contact for trainees and program inquiry 10% Assist with the design, distribution, and collection of surveys and evaluations 10% Provide support for leadership, program administrators, and student activity leaders/facilitators 5% Plans special events and responsible for adherence to institutional policies for processing approval forms, event forms, venue use, catering orders, vendor approvals and contract submissions 5% Provide office support as needed for CU2RE program directors and department administrators 5% Perform other duties as assigned 100% Total time # of Faculty Supported Two (2) to five (5) faculty supported Number of Years: 5 Experience Require Experience in coordinating and managing educational programs Experience creating evaluation and assessment surveys Experience in data management and record keeping Knowledge, Skills Abilities What specific skills and abilities are needed for the satisfactory performance Verbal and written communication skills Interpersonal Skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Effective communicator with clinical faculty, administrative leadership, department staff, program participants and internal/external partners Accuracy and attention to detail Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Accountability Dependability Prioritization and time management skills Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize assignments General Complexity of Work Salary Range: $18.

80 Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required.
OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidate must be skilled in successfully working with clinical faculty, administrative leaders, and program trainees at various levels of undergraduate education experience.
Candidate must possess the ability to plan and develop strategies to fulfill program outcomes and goals by developing relationships and collaborating with members of the team, students, undergraduate advisors, and other personnel at higher education institutions.
