Job Posting: Preschool PE Teacher We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Education (PE) Teacher for our preschool program.
This position is part-time, with hours from 8:30 AM to 1:05 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the potential for an additional day on Mondays.
Responsibilities: * Develop and implement age-appropriate PE curriculum for preschoolers.
* Conduct engaging and interactive physical activities to promote motor skills and overall well-being.
* Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for young children.
* Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate physical activity into the overall curriculum.
Qualifications: * Must have a High School Diploma or GED and some college coursework, with preferred college courses in child development and/or early childhood education.
* Passion for promoting physical fitness and healthy habits in young learners.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred but not required.
Additional Opportunity: * The selected candidate will have the option to substitute on days not scheduled to work, providing an opportunity for additional hours and flexibility.

*About our program: * *Independent Presbyterian Church Day School* Independent Presbyterian Church Day School serves as a ministry of the church to provide a positive preschool experience for IPC families and the larger Birmingham community.
*Day School Hours of Operation* * Regular School Year: Monday-Friday from 9 am-1 pm.
* The school calendar is from late August to mid-May.
* For children ages 6 months through 5-year-old class, age requirements need to be met by Sept.
1st.
*Summer APPLE Program* * Tuesday-Thursday from 9 am-1 pm * Six weekly sessions during June/July.
* For children ages 6 months (as of June 1) through completed 5K, age requirements need to be met by Sept.
1 for 18 mo Toddlers - 5K classes.

Independent Presbyterian Church (IPC) Day School is looking to hire childcare providers and permanent lead, assistant, and substitute preschool teachers for 1 to 5 day-a-week positions from the hours of 8:30 am – 1:15 pm.
Strong candidates are patient nurturers who have a commitment to Jesus Christ, serving IPC’s ministry to children and families, and a heart for caring for and educating young children.
Applicants must be able to follow church and school policies/procedures, lead/assist educational and play activities, follow curriculum plans, collaborate with teachers and families, and have good people skills.
All applicants need to have a High School Diploma or GED and some college coursework, with preferred college courses in child development and/or early childhood education.
Some physical demands of this position include being able to participate in carpool, lift children aged 5 years or younger in and out of cars safely, move safely from the floor to standing, walk up and down stairs, play with children on the floor, and walk securely across the church campus.
Primary responsibilities and tasks: * Engage children in educational activities using hands-on materials.
* Engage children in play and conversation about classroom content, family life, and various educational topics.
* Assist children with eating, washing hands, changing clothes when needed, diapering/toileting, playing, learning, and moving materials/equipment around the classroom.
* Utilize basic classroom management techniques to encourage positive classroom relationships and foster learning, independence, and self-regulation.
* Communicate daily activities, educational goals, and classroom needs with other teachers, parents, and children.
