Job Description
The Department of Pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is pleased to announce a new recruitment for additional academic surgical pathologists due to growth and expansion of our subspecialty sign out.
We are inviting applications from qualified candidates at all ranks for a full-time, tenure earnings/tenured position through the Department of Pathology, School of Medicine.

Ph.
D.
, Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology, and be eligible for a license to practice medicine in Alabama.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate beyond starting Assistant Professors should have a national reputation in academic pathology and a track record of a competitive basic, translational, and/or clinically focused research program.
Preferred Qualifications
Subspecialty expertise in Renal Pathology (Medical Kidney), Transplant Pathology, and Pulmonary Pathology will be favorably considered.
