Job Description
The Biotechnology program in the Department of Clinical and Diagnostic Sciences (CDS) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Health Professions is accepting applications for a full-time, twelve-month, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor.

UAB has outstanding core facilities in molecular sciences (EM, MS, X-Ray, and more), engineering, nanosciences, preclinical and clinical imaging, informatics, and translational and clinical research.
Selected candidates will have access to the Central Alabama High Field NMR Facility in the Department of Chemistry, the UAB Cyclotron Facility in the School of Medicine which produces radiopharmaceuticals and radioisotopes for medical imaging and other studies, and state-of-the-art small animal PET/CT imaging facility for translational research.
Required Qualifications
Candidates for consideration must have a Ph.
D.
in Molecular Biology or a closely related discipline, postdoctoral or equivalent experience, and a commitment to teaching excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and assisting Ph.
D.
students on their projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include demonstrated teaching and research expertise in molecular biology and project management.
