Position Information School/College School of Medicine Title HSOM - Surgery - Open Rank - Vascular Surgeon Scientist Assignment Category Full-Time Rank Open Rank Tenure Status Open Tenure Payroll Status Faculty 12 Job Description The University of Alabama School of Medicine, Department of Surgery is currently recruiting faculty candidates to be considered for an open rank, open tenure faculty appointment in the Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy.
The successful candidate is expected to have an interest in basic or translational Vascular Biology research and to meet clinical and teaching needs in the Department of Surgery and the Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy.
The UAB Division of Vascular and Endovascular Therapy treats the full spectrum of arterial and venous disorders, and acts as the tertiary care center for the state of Alabama and surrounding states.
We offer both an integrated vascular residency and a two-year vascular fellowship.
In addition to our focus on patient care, we also provide an environment that supports the education of health professionals and encourages advanced research to further medical science.
The University of Alabama at Birmingham, one of three autonomous institutions within The University of Alabama System, is the only four-year, public university in the state’s largest metropolitan area.
