Position Information School/College School of Nursing Title School of Nursing - Faculty Position - Psych Mental Health Nursing (VA) Assignment Category Full-Time Rank Open Rank Tenure Status Open Tenure Payroll Status Faculty 12 Job Description The School of Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications and nominations for a full time Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for Practice/Service to support community partnerships.
Candidates for this faculty position with prior teaching experience and experience supervising nurse practitioner students in clinical practicums are encouraged to apply.
A doctoral degree in nursing or a related field is preferred.
Certification as a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner is required.
Previous experience with Veteran care and/or completion of a NP Residency program is preferred.
Candidates must hold an unencumbered registered nurse license in the state of Alabama or be eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in Alabama.
Faculty may elect different degrees of emphasis on the teaching, service and scholarship components of the faculty role.
Rank, tenure, and salary are competitive and commensurate with professional background and experience.
This is not a remote position.
