Department of Criminal Justice invites applications for an Assistant Professor tenure-track position with a start date of August 15, 2024.
We seek applicants with research and teaching emphases in race/ethnicity and crime.
Areas of research specialization focused on race and/or ethnicity, broadly defined, could include (but are not limited to) racial/ethnic disparities in victimization, courts and corrections, policing, and public policy issues related to criminal justice.
Applicants are expected to have a Ph.
D.
in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline (with a substantive and demonstrable research focus in criminology and criminal justice) from an accredited institution.
ABD candidates will be considered but must have a Ph.
D.
by the start date.
The JD alone is not sufficient for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities: Applicants will be expected to maintain an active independent research agenda relevant to the discipline that includes peer-reviewed publications, student mentorship, and engaging in service activities to assist the program, college, university, and discipline.
Teaching will include courses in the undergraduate and M.
S.
programs in Criminal Justice, with a 2:2 annual teaching load.
