Recreation Assistant - Childcare

Qualifications: High School diploma or GED Experience in child care American Red Cross First Aid certification is not required when applying but must be obtained prior to employment American Red Cross CPR certification is not required when applying but must be obtained prior to employment Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and/or holidays Responsibilities: Attends to the needs of children of various ages in the child care room/nursery Maintains records of check-in and check-out times Plans programs and activities for the children Maintains the child care room/nursery in a clean and orderly condition Keeps attendance records and prepares reports Inspects equipment and toys for safety Meets and deals tactfully with the public Performs other related duties as required
