Description:
Part-time childcare worker needed to help run childcare programming.
Staff are responsible for setting up and breaking down the room, serving meals prepared by the on-site restaurant, monitoring behavior and providing appropriate discipline as needed, changing diapers/helping with bathroom needs, disinfecting toys, and engaging children warmly and responsibly.
Children who attend our programs range in age from newborn to 12 years.
Hours include some Friday evenings each month and 1 or more weekday mornings each week.
Childcare staff are allowed to bring their children with them to participate in the programming, provided they can still fulfill their responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in nannying, childcare, or related field
- Knowledge of childhood development and age-appropriate activities
- First aid and CPR certification preferred
- Ability to manage a classroom or group of children effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in early childhood development or related field is a plus
