Have been saving $500 a month since November towards this goal.
The recent cold snap blew the plumbing out in my kitchen and blew the seals on the faucet so I had a $300 set back making the repairs.
Will have $1,700 saved the first of February.
My intent was to save $500 a month until December 2024, then seek a vehicle.
I am goal oriented so this was a given.
SSI has rules that I've only recently been informed of.
Rule number 1, I'm not allowed to save more than $2,000.
Rule number 2, I have to report any purchase that exceeds $1,200.
So I have limitations.
What I am seeking--- #1 a maintained Toyota, model is only a small consideration.
Or any other gas efficient vehicle, not interested in Motorcycles.
I have a 826 credit rating, have been debt free since the 08 fiasco and will not finance from a dealership.
I am seeking owner financing where I make a substantial down payment, at present $1,700, after March $2,000, then make monthly payments until the vehicle is paid in full.
I'm looking to spend $5,500, tops.
I'm not interested in any vehicle listed on marketplace.
Marketplace is a scam to unload unmaintained vehicles that owners can't sell otherwise.
You hold the title and vehicle until paid in full but I'm going to need current ID and proof of title as well as receipts or you are wasting both our time.
Must have a clean lien free title.
You have a reliable vehicle that doesn't have 200k plus miles on it, isn't 20 years old, isn't a rusted out parts wreck, hasn't been involved in a wreck and intend to attempt a sale, I'd be interested.
Be honest, maybe you'll sell your vehicle.
