Description:
The Loan Processor/Closer is responsible for the loan process from application to closing, ensuring a complete loan file while meeting timelines for loan closings.
The Loan Processor/Closer handles non-real estate loans and real estate at the direction of the manager.
Prepares and processes preliminary documents for loan closing department, such as but not limited to orders title searches, appraisals, credit reports, and resolves exception items.
Ensures all policies are followed while creating the credit memo and associated documents.
Prepares a wide variety of letters, memos, reports and spreadsheets, as needed.
Works quickly, efficiently, accurately and professionally to ensure internal and external customers’ needs are met or exceeded.
Enters loan information into system.
Maintains various credit, collateral and loan files according to established procedures.
Responds to customer inquiries and problems, as needed.
Manage a pipeline of loans, with a focus on meeting critical date deadlines.
Review borrower documents provided and updates loan file.
Acts as the main point of contact for borrower during loan process, including meeting with the borrower to execute the loan documents and close the loan or ensure the loan documents are delivered and executed electronically.
Review and analyze loan documentation, including income, credit, assets, appraisal and title including documentation to clear loan conditions.
Address fraud alerts that may reflect on borrower’s identity or for subject collateral.
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor as they relate to the Bank and its’ operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Onsite - not a remote position
Jack Henry Loan Vantage experience is a PLUS
Real Estate experience is a PLUS
Associate or bachelor’s Degree preferred.
HS Diploma or equivalent required.
Seven or more years of experience in commercial and consumer loan operations preferred.
Thorough knowledge of loan document closing, post-closing, servicing, and loan file review functions, specifically loan documentation and collateral requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Loan Vantage, and Bankway (preferred).
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
Must be able to handle conflict in a professional manner, exhibit professionalism in communication skills, and must be able to work under the pressure of deadlines.
Strong leadership, supervisory, coaching, and organizational skills.
Ability to take initiative and utilize sound judgment in decision-making and higher-level problem solving ensuring customer needs are met while remaining in line with Bank policies.
Must be able to work in a team environment with the ability to interact well, and in a positive manner, with co-workers and management.
