Group of musicians (guitar, keys, and drums) in our 30s looking for a bassist with at least decent improv chops for a new project seeking to gig and record originals in the BHam area.
We all sing, so vocals are a plus but not required.
Must be willing to commit to practice ideally once a week, but every other could work.
We are mainly in it for fun, all of us have jobs and lives outside of music.
But for amateurs I'd say we are pretty capable musicians, with experience writing, recording, and gigging to go around.
We share a bunch of common influences.
Phish, Steely Dan, Radiohead, Pink Floyd, all kinds of jazz and experimental music, singer-songwriters, etc.
Taste doesn't need to be identical but you should definitely be a capable improviser and be willing to write your own parts.
But most of all you've gotta be fun and chill :)
We keep our sessions drug free, but what you do on your time is your business.
