Responsibilities:
Coordinate workload for associates by assigning work functions to all staff as necessary to meet the needs of our customers.
Provide the highest quality service to our customers through efficient, cost effective, accurate and damage-free storage of products.
Maintain a safe working environment by following company safety policies and procedures.
Ensure departmental key performance indicators (KPI) are being met.
Assist with the implementation and coordination of special projects such as or including: physical inventory and new accounts.
Identify needs and make recommendations regarding department procedures and process changes.
Ensure accurate inventory levels by maintaining accurate counts in the warehouse management system (WMS); Assist with inventory control issues and corrections.
Cover for all warehouse functions and assist staff when help is required.
Provide recommendations to the Warehouse Supervisor regarding employee performance, including discipline and promotions.
Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in finding ways to recognize associates and motivate them in a positive and fun manner.
Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience
High School Diploma or general education degree required.
A minimum of two (1) years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with a warehouse management system (WMS).
Forklift operator certificate and/or license required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills.
Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office program (Word, Excel).
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to act with a sense of urgency to resolve issues with internal and external customers.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Excellent time management skills.
