Bishop obliged and opened the original Dreamland in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 1958.
In the early years, the restaurant sold everything from burgers to postage stamps.
It was their hickory-fired ribs, however, that quickly became the local favorite.

As the Front of the House Manager, you will play a vital role in upholding our iconic status and ensuring that every guest leaves with a memorable dining experience.
Core Responsibilities:
Supervise all staff in accordance with operational standards, procedures, and policies, ensuring compliance with all laws.
Deliver the Dreamland experience and prioritize customer satisfaction.
Manage performance of Front of House employees, including evaluations, coaching, and discipline.
Maintain effective cost controls, including inventory management and check audits.
Schedule staff to ensure excellent customer service.
Continuously train staff and stay updated on menu changes and food service laws.
Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards.
Ensure proper functioning of all equipment.
Handle receiving, storing, and issuing of food, beverage, and retail items.
Maintain records regarding restaurant operations.
Administer cash handling procedures.

Prerequisites:
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of food and beverage management experience.
General management experience is a plus.
