Responsibilities
State Farm Staff Counsel, Wade S.
Anderson & Associates, is seeking Legal Secretary to join the Birmingham, AL office.
Candidates must be detail-oriented, adaptable, resourceful, and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will support one attorney and responsibilities will include but are not limited to filing subpoenas and follow up, preparing pleadings, calendaring/scheduling, medical record follow up, and correspondence with clients.
Required work hours are 7.
45 per day, Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:30AM-4:45 PM -exact shift is flexible.
Qualifications
3-5 years of legal secretary experience in civil litigation required
Familiarity of Alafile and Alacourt
Proficiency in software technology, tools, and case management software
Knowledge of legal and medical terminology, local and state rules regarding pleadings and pre-trial matters, and filing requirements
