I have for sale a Dell Inspiron 15 5000 (5570) Laptop for sale.
It was manufactured in 2017 and has been upgraded to run Windows 11 Pro (64 bit).
The good: top-of-the-line specs and features, in good working condition; lots of computing power.
Intel Core i7! The bad: battery at about 40% capacity (about $100 from Dell for a replacement - easy job for the technically inclined); DVD drive nonfunctional after Windows 11 upgrade - unclear if it is a driver/software problem or a hardware problem; and it has gotten pretty slow (may be time for a clean reinstall of Windows).
Would be a quick and easy refurbish job for a someone with the skills! Ideal for a student interested in engineering or computer science that needs the features and computing power and could do the few minor repairs.
Or use it as is - it is good to go if a bit slow at the moment.
