Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Student Success Representative at the Birmingham Extension Center.
This individual serves as a liaison between the student and Main Campus departments.
The Student Success Representative will assist with registration, financial aid, student account processes and advise students on academics programs, curriculum, and University policies and procedures.
Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position.
Summary of Duties:
Assist students with course and academic major selection; advise students on course and credit hour requirements to complete desired degree
Facilitate retention initiatives for Extension Center students; monitor academic progress; refer students to appropriate university resources for assistance
Counsel students and prospective students on all available Financial Aid programs
Assist students in completing admissions and financial aid documents
Evaluate transfer credits for admission; direct transcript requests
Provide class rolls for instructors and monitor the posting of grades in student records
Collaborate with academic departments, faculty and staff to ensure strong support for all students
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; experience will be considered in lieu of education
Experience in an Admissions/Registrar/Academic Advisor office in a post-secondary institution or a related field in higher education preferred
Active member of the church of Christ
