The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a PROGRAM MANAGER I.
The Division of Preventive Medicine in the UAB Heersink School of Medicine seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic Program Manager I to work under minimal supervision, and coordinate administrative, personnel, and logistical support for a defined department program(s).
We are seeking a motivated, self-starting individual to work on project(s) and program initiatives.
This individual will carry out established program objectives and directives and may supervise support staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
Organize community events and track outcomes.
Design and implement training programs for program staff.
Complete data entry and management using Excel and REDCap web application.
Facilitate abstract, manuscript, and presentation development.
Assist in additional tasks related to program implementation.
Responsible for administratively managing a University department under the general direction of a functional Program Director or under the auspices of a Program Advising Committee and according to an established program plan.
May participate in the development of program objectives and is responsible for achieving objectives within defined parameters set by University and/or department policies and procedures or technical principles.
May require fiscal management of grants and other funds.
May manage multiple programs.
Requires the use of independent judgment to determine the best approach to accomplish objectives established in the program plan.
May supervise staff as needed.

Salary Range: $41,175-$66,915
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field
And two (2) years of related experience required
Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement
