Birmingham-Southern College seeks candidates for a Visiting Assistant Lecturer of Biology with experience in microbiology for Spring 2024 with the possibility of annual renewal.
Applicants must hold a M.
S.
but a Ph.
D.
and teaching experience is preferred.
Candidates should be committed to excellence in teaching and demonstrate a commitment to using inclusive and evidence-based teaching practices.
Teaching responsibilities include a microbiology lecture and two microbiology labs.
A residential liberal arts college enrolling approximately 800 undergraduate students, BSC is included in Pope’s Colleges that Change Lives and is a sheltering institution for Phi Beta Kappa.
The College recently endured a funding crisis and is in the process of rebuilding the faculty and staff.

The typical teaching load is 3-1-3.
