Position Summary The Testing Coordinator will coordinate curriculum placement testing, GED testing program, industry certifications and licensure, and other third-party testing services provided by the campus testing center.
In addition, the Testing Coordinator will ensure all state requirements and test publisher procedure/policies are followed and all testing is conducted in a clean, comfortable, and honorable testing environment.
This position requires day, evening, and occasional weekend hours and travel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversees all day-to-day operations of the Wallace State Testing Center.
Works with supervisor to develop and update services, policies, procedures, and schedules in response to changing demands.
Schedules and publicizes services, communicates program policies/procedures to campus and community and maintains integrity of testing environment.
Oversee testing lab operations, including maintaining and troubleshooting equipment and scheduling lab hours.
Coordinate testing schedules based on student needs.
Proctor testing, review scoring and recommendations with students, and refer students to advisors for counseling.
Maintain testing records and report on results as required.
Install, maintain, upgrade, and customize the related electronic software systems as required.
Utilize the Banner and Elevate system to input registrations, test scores, etc.
Maintain affiliations with professional organizations and actively participate in professional development opportunities.
Be familiar with the enrollment process and how testing and test-related activities interface with the enrollment process.
Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to establish good working relationships with students, other employees, and the public.
Must be able to take initiative and work independently.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of student information.
In order to perform these essential functions, the Testing Coordinator must be present at work.
Therefore, attendance is also an essential function.
Qualifications Minimum of an associate degree from an accredited institution, bachelor’s degree preferred.
Three years’ experience in enrollment and/or ADA testing preferred.
Must have knowledge of basic network operations, the Banner software system, and commonly used computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Must have a knowledge of college policies and procedures to be able to assist students.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
