Faculty will be expected and given the opportunity to develop their own independent line of research.
In addition, substantial opportunities to collaborate and publish with other established investigators will be offered.

Founded in 1978, the UAB School of Public Health has grown to 84 full-time faculty and 1243 students (in the 2021-22 academic year).

Required Qualifications Candidates must have a background in biostatistics research methods, clinical trials, or statistical genetics research, a doctoral degree in biostatistics, mathematics or related, and a demonstrated ability to apply these techniques to biostatistics research.
Proven ability to conduct innovative research is required.
A successful track record of publication and collaboration as part of a research team is essential.
It is expected that the successful candidate will cover a portion of their salary through participation in funded research collaborations or public health practice and will engage in service activities to the Department and School, including advising students’ practicum experiences and serving on thesis/dissertation committees.
Graduate level teaching (minimum 1 course per year) is required.
