Under general supervision and according to UAB Medicine established policies and procedures, provides a variety services in support of the operations of their assigned site.
Performs duties related to scheduling, registration/check-in and distribution of educational materials to scheduled patients.
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) years Customer Service experience required.
Business Office Education or similar coursework desired.
Must: (1) Attend all required course work assigned by management; (2) possess basic knowledge of medical terminology and advanced knowledge of PC applications, software, and database management; (3) be able to perform math & bookkeeping skills; (5) possess exceptional telephone & customer service skills; and (5) be knowledgeable of English grammar & punctuation.
TRAITS & SKILLS: Must be self-directed / self-motivated; must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
