Customer Service/ Packager

The Little Butcher is currently looking for employees who are passionate about local, healthy, and sustainable food.
We are the only butcher in the tri-cities practicing nose-to-tail butchery and would like to find people who share our excitement and want to help us grow! We choose to source from independent, local suppliers and farmers because we believe in supporting our local business community! Our team specializes in customer service and has been nominated for many awards in this field.
We strive to provide our customers with the best experience and product! *Tasks and responsibilities:* Daily tasks: * Customer service and use of till and POS machine * Packing a variety of products including use of the vacuum sealer and over-wrapper * Pricing and putting away deliveries * Stocking shelves, freezers and coolers * Filling custom customer orders Closing duties: * Clean up of all small wares, equipment, work spaces and prep tables * Daily completion of nightly cleaning list including usual clean up tasks such as dishes, sweeping, mopping and garbage removal.
* All of our employees serve customers, answer phone calls and handle cash *Requirements:* * Heavy lifting of boxes up to 60lbs.
* Food Safe Certification is an asset.
* Customer service experience is an asset * Butcher shop/ food industry experience is an asset * Availability on minimum 1 weekday and Saturdays.
