Location: Birmingham, AL (will cover Central Alabama offices) Vector Security is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Sales Manager to join our amazing team. In this role, you will be responsible for all sales and business development activities for Central Alabama’s fire and life safety business. This includes recruiting, hiring, and directing a diversified sales team while providing excellent leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with our company purpose/mission/values. The Sales Manager will lead and manage the Sales Department involving direct supervision of sales reps, projecting goals, and achieving sales objectives across two business segments: Commercial core/small business security, and Residential Security. What You’ll Do: -Must be able to effectively recruit, hire, train, mentor and develop sales reps. -Responsible for building a high-performance culture to include team development initiatives. -Regularly participate in ride along to monitor the progress of new and existing sales reps. -Assist sales reps during more complex or difficult sales calls. -Conduct in home and onsite sales presentations with the sales team. -Review sales activity and develop work smart strategies with sales representatives. -Responsible in part for customer satisfaction and cash collections. -Thoroughly review, correct, and approve sales proposals daily. -Thoroughly analyze, interpret, and report pricing/sales and productivity reports. -Work closely with operations, administrative teams, and service department to support the growth and profitability of the entire team. -Must be available some evenings and weekend hours for trade shows, appts, etc. -Must be computer savvy, have excellent email etiquette as well as attention to detail. -Must have very strong planning, organization skills along with the ability to hold sales reps accountable. -Must hold productive, well-planned, scheduled sales meetings to measure and drive results. What You’ll Need: -Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a sales management role preferable in the life safety and property protection industry -Strong, positive team builder with leadership ability. -Understanding of profit and loss statements and key financial drivers in developing complex proposals. -Ability to attract, develop, grow, and retain a diverse sales team. -Ability to understand the technical aspects of the product lines and applications, as well as the bid market industry.
