Position Summary The AAESAP Specialist in the Adult Education Program will report to the Adult Education Director and shall be responsible for maintaining all Adult Education accountability software program data and documentation and provide oversight for all career pathways, IETs, and other workforce training within Adult Education. Special functions may include providing information for budget planning, counseling, student recruitment and retention, appropriate record keeping. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Director and administrative assistant in monitoring program budgets. Maintain AAESAP database and all necessary documentation Keep information concerning adult education sites current and up-to-date. Enter student data into AAESAP from all pertinent documents including (but are not limited to): Enrollment, Update and Status Forms within 2 weeks of the date of receipt Enter attendance as necessary Maintain equipment inventory in AESAP database. Inform the AE Director of any information that has not been completed. Provide input for Annual Needs Assessment. Maintain all records as needed for the Adult Education Program. Participate on college-wide committees as assigned. Maintain professional conduct in dealing with students, staff, administration, faculty, and the college community. Adhere to prescribed procedures in all financial operations of the division. Maintain safe practices in classroom setting. Actively recruit students for the program and the College. Compile and dispense necessary reports in a timely manner. Participate in the planning and budgeting processes. Assist in enforcing all college policies. Assist in the coordination of the institutional effectiveness plan. Attend faculty and staff meetings. Provide the Director with all requested reports and supporting data. Assist the Director additional clerical support as needed. Participate in all professional development opportunities provided by the instructional supervisor or the state adult and community education staff, including attendance at the Annual Adult Education Summer Conference. Administer assessment instruments to diagnose, evaluate, and place adult learners in adult education programs. Support state and national adult education and literacy advocacy organizations. Assume all other duties assigned by the Director of Adult Education. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required, Master degree preferred.
