*JOB DESCRIPTION* *ACCOUNTANT* *Responsibilities:* * Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. * Document financial transactions by entering account information. * Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options. * Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports. * Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents. * Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures. * Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions. * Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. * Secure financial information by completing database backups. * Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions. * Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results. * Analyze financial information and summarize financial status. * Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures. * Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process. * Prepare financial statements and produce a budget according to schedule. * Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance. * Plan, assign, and review staff's work. * Support month-end and year-end close processes. * Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain. and strengthen internal controls. * Use Quickbooks as the accounting software. *Requirements:* * 3 years as CPA minimum. * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Advanced Excel Skills (Vlookup sum if, sum ifs, Hlookup, etc.). * US GAAP Knowledge and Familiarity with U.S. regulatory requirements and compliance standards. * Any global software knowledge such as Navision, Xero, Axapta, Oracle, etc. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks, assess controls, and develop practical solutions. * Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial data and documents. * Familiarity with local, state, national, and international laws and regulations, ensuring compliance. * Proficiency in planning and executing operational and financial procedures to ensure accurate accounting and reporting. * Strong organizational and time management skills, working both independently and collaboratively. *Conditions:* Full-time, 40 hours a week Monday to Friday 8am - 1 hour lunch Work type: Onsite *Location:* * 420 20th street N, suite 2200, Birmingham, AL, 35203 *Important notice:* *\*Please submit your application only if you meet the requirements, are available to work onsite and grant consent for a background check to be conducted by the company.\** *\*Salary is contingent upon experience and will be subject to discussion."* Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $35.00 per hour Experience level: * 3 years Physical setting: * Office Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
