The Director of Accounting is ultimately responsible for the Accounting and Finance of up to 50 high-volume convenience stores.
This individual will be the gatekeeper of our financial results and our back office.
We are a lean organization looking for a jack of all trades accounting individual who wants to really make this department their own as we scale and grow.
This role is not for someone who wants to come in with processes built for them but is for someone with drive and passion to build something and get it right.
This role has the potential to grow into a VP role or even CFO role depending on the individual.

Duties include but not limited to:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting backoffice and systems
- Build and Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Conduct general ledger accounting and reconciliation
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting processes
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Coordinate and oversee regulatory reporting requirements
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards
- File Sales tax monthly.
Experience
- Extensive experience in Accounting or Finance (required)
- Convenience Store experience (preferred)
- Proven experience in a similar role as a Director of Accounting or similar position
- Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis
- Proficient in general ledger accounting and reconciliation
- Familiarity with debits, credits, and financial terminology
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations accurately
- Proficiency in using accounting software and being a quick learner
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and compliance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.
00 - $80,000.
